I’d also like to congratulate Nadhiya on her pregnancy, Insyaallah godwilling you will have a beautiful, healthy baby soon.

On that note, i’m proud, happy and somewhat touched to say that almost every single one of my bride clients have fallen pregnant almost immediately after their wedding or as known in Malay culture “Bunting Pelamin”

So, the following photos are from the wedding of Jue and Mukrim. I met Jue almost a year before her wedding, she met me with her mother so i was a little intimidated at first but any worries were soon put to rest. Both her and her mother are so lively and smiley as you’ll see in the photos. They were so friendly and before i knew it, we’d been chatting for an hour and a half.

At the wedding things were no different, Jue’s whole family and Mukrim’s as well for that matter were all smiles and laughs and all three events (Solemnization at Jue’s home, Jue’s Reception at Putrajaya Lake, Mukrim’s Reception at his family’s home in Perlis) were upbeat, happy occasions with deep heartfelt emotion mixed in. It was my utmost pleasure to have been part of this wedding! Thanks Jue!

This was the first time i’ve seen a setup like this. Aren’t the vining and dropping flowers just so pretty.

Another thing, the food was totally different from any other wedding and scrumptiously delicious.

Even Mukrim’s dad honoured us with a song after the reception.

Hmmmm, if couples bring their own Polaroids i’m gonna be out of a job. hehe.

This is so nice to see. Late after the events finished both families sit together, all smiles saying their thanks and goodbyes.

The caterer’s setting up, RELA energizing with a good feast before traffic and parking duty. Even a niece doing her part organizing the door gifts.

Here’s some photos from the intimate wedding ceremony and fantastic dinner reception between Edreen and Raflise. Both events were in Putrajaya.

Meeting Lidiya and Igor in Perhentian, my wife (who came along as my assistant and working holiday buddy!) and I found that they were both such lovely and friendly people. They were also so madly in love with each other.

Shooting in Perhentian is trying and testing. Firstly the immense heat drains all power from you and sweat becomes a big issue especially as we didn’t want Lidiya and Igor to look drenched. At 5pm it can still be scorching hot so we tried our best to get the shots fast and then run back in the shade. The ultra fine sand Perhentian beaches are made of also is a major equipment hazzard.

However, we pulled thru and managed to get some nice, natural, emotional shots and i’m so grateful for the experience and trust Lidiya and Igor put in me. Thanks guys, it was great. I also managed to learn so much myself and cant wait to shoot there again!

This is a technique that i’m going to incorporate much more into my portrait sessions. I just love the strong colors and high contrast, not to mention the clear sky and sun which would normally be bleached out.
